It is difficult to effect change when the system is rigged against common sense solutions, as is it is in the case of the two-party duopoly, which is why I support the Common Sense party. I have grown up in a system fundamentally stacked against consensus building, which has led to politicians' failure to address impending societal afflictions such as climate change and yawning economic inequalities. I believe in a future where the government works for the people once again, and the emergence of a responsible, open, and inclusive third party such as Common Sense can put our state back on the path to renewed effectiveness of government.
