Rank Choice Voting/3 Votes

I like both ideas. More engagement will be the result because many who might not think their vote matters could believe their vote matters more.

Upon first impression, I also think both ideas are positive. I see no drawbacks to either. In fact, during the early days of our republic, the electorate would cast their votes for both the president _and_ vice president. The candidates in each respective category who had the most votes would win that position. There was no “party take all” outcome. Ranked voting is reminiscent of that.
